Joseph Knute Boberg passed away at home on March 12, 2024, the effects of cancer and heart disease. He was born in Bingham Canyon on January 31, 1947; the only child to Austin “Bo” Joseph Boberg and Mable Dora Knudsen, who preceded him in death. He was baptized and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.

He married his best friend, Gloria Lynn Jorgensen on January 31, 1986. Joe’s greatest treasure is his family. In all, he claimed nine children: Darron (Debbie) Boberg, Kim (Kevin) French, Tammy (Mike) Larson, Brandy (Rodney) Johnsen, Laura Boberg, Emilie (Adam) Bashore, Jeremy (Emily) Boberg, Brett (Laurie) Boberg, and Ashleigh Elizabeth Smith. He also boasts 32 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Huh!

His family wants to express their appreciation and love to all of Joe’s friends that came to be with him or called in his final days. It meant everything to him. A lighthearted and joyful celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The celebration will be held at the Dammeron Valley Ward; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1784 W. Diamond Valley Drive, St. George, Utah 84770. This will be casual dress and a light meal will be served. Gloria requests that in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Donald Trump for President Campaign (Huh!) or to the Big Ocean Women for help with people seeking treatment for addictions and mental health (https://bigoceanwomen.org/our-work/donate/). Family and friends are invited to share condolences online at www.SerentityStG.com.

15 years ago our daughter was early in her addiction and Joe gave us direction and advice. I have thought of him often thru the years. So sorry for the loss of this good, kind, and generous man. He made the world a better place.
