Isla Daun Lundell

Isla Daun Lundell passed away on February 29, 2024, due to sudden respiratory failure. She had a long history of respiratory, cardiovascular, and skeletal complications. She was born on July 17, 2019 to Ryan and Jamie Lundell in Salt Lake City, Utah and was the youngest of three children.

Isla was always happy, despite her many medical challenges. She was as girly as they come and loved all things pink, barbie, baby, or princess related. She loved helping her Mom with anything and laundry was her favorite chore. She loved her Daddy, and whenever she needed help she insisted that he be the one to assist.

She was always the smallest in her age group by a significant margin, but made friends easily. Because she struggled to walk and didn’t like to be knocked over, she preferred games like chalk drawings on the sidewalk instead of playing on a playground.

She loved to sing, and even though she was small and usually quiet, we never had a hard time hearing her songs. She especially loved to sing songs from Frozen. Some of her other favorites were 5 Little Monkeys, You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch, Spookley the Square Pumpkin, and Gaston (from Beauty and the Beast).

Her favorite movie was Trolls 2. She also loved Sing 2, Frozen, and Toy Story 2, among many other favorites. She had an unusual interest in live action movies for someone her age and generally preferred them over the animated; such as Beauty and the Beast, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Little Mermaid. Other favorites included Annie (2014 film) and Bedtime Stories.
