Bonny Kay Landes was reunited with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 29, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1970, to Roger and Nancy Kelson in the suburbs of Salt Lake. As the youngest of five siblings, she looked up to her older sister, cherished moments with her brothers, and held a special place in her mother's heart.

Bonny's journey through life was marked by love and devotion, especially evident in her role as a mother. Following her education at Granger High School, she joyfully welcomed her firstborn, Tyler, into the world, followed by Bryson and Justin. Her heart overflowed with affection for her sons, drawn to the spirited adventures of raising boys, reminiscent of her own upbringing with her brothers. Yet, her desire for a daughter led to the arrival of Alexis, completing the family she had always dreamed of. Bonny's greatest joy was found in motherhood, offering unwavering support and unconditional love to her children through every stage of life.

Aside from her role as a dedicated mom, Bonny reveled in various passions. She had a creative eye for scrapbooking, crafting, and making her home a cozy haven. A girls girl through and through, she loved playing with makeup, going shopping, and getting her hair and nails done. However, she could also throw her hair up in a ponytail and hat and head to the race track to cheer on her brother and nephew. She loved spending time with them and was a devoted fan and supporter of their race team, Kelson Motorsports.

She was an avid collector of all things Betty Boop, she savored her morning caramel frap from Starbs, and cherished moments spent with her beloved husband, Spencer. Their marriage in 2014 enriched her life with love and companionship, igniting a shared passion for travel, theater, and hockey. Spencer embraced Bonny's children as his own, and she reciprocated the affection with his. Together, they created cherished memories by the fire pit, reminiscing about their shared adventures and enduring love. Their bond was unbreakable, and they found strength in each other during life's highs and lows.

Bonny was not only a daughter, sister, mother, and wife but also a cherished Nannie to her 13 grandchildren. Witnessing their growth and milestones brought immense pride and joy to her heart, as she showered them with love and encouragement at every opportunity. Bonny spent the last 18 years working for Hunter Douglas, cultivating relationships that felt more like family along the way.

Saying goodbye to loved ones is never easy; the ache of missing her late mother and sister lingered every single day. Although we're heartbroken not to have Bonny physically with us anymore, there's a bit of peace in knowing she's reunited with her mom, sister, brother, and dad.

Bonny's legacy of love and light lives on through her devoted husband, Spencer, her children Tyler (Shaye), Bryson (Austin), Justin (Cortni), and Alexis (Ian), her stepchildren Travis (Jen), Maryann, and David (Ashley), her beloved grandchildren, and her brothers Gordon (ReNae) and Jack (Tracy). May her memory serve as a beacon of warmth and affection for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Please join us in celebrating the extraordinary life of our beloved Bonny. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 1-2:45 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 s. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, UT 84084). Graveside services will follow from 3-4 pm.

To Bonny from her beloved husband, Spencer.

I just want to share a heartfelt message to my beautiful, amazingly wonderful wife. Your piercing blue eyes encapsulated my heart from the first moment on. As I got to know you even more, I realized you were the kindest person of anyone I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was in love with you from the first moment we met and wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. You taught me how to love like I never knew was possible.

Everyone who has ever met you knows you were not only amazingly beautiful, but very funny, intelligent, witty, and hard-working. You also had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. You would help anyone and were happy to do so. Including buying a cup of coffee for a homeless man, so he could go inside the building and stay warm for a few minutes. You will be loved by many and surely missed by all who had the honor of knowing you.

I don't know what life will be like without you, but there will always be an empty hole in my soul that will never be filled like you filled it.

My dear lovely Bonny, aka to me as my "Baby Girl", you left me way too soon. We had so many places to enjoy and memories to make together. I will always miss and love you. I can't find words to express how much I loved you and always will. The time we had together was the best time of my life and ended way too soon. I love you, my Baby Girl.

In lieu of flowers, I would like everyone to please take your partner, best friend, or loved one out to dinner and let them know how much they mean to you. Life can be way too short.

Hey Bonnie,

You are a wonderful woman. We didn't get to know you as much as we would have liked to, but we know you are wonderful because of the love you gave to Spence. He loves you dearly and you were always such an amazing support to him. Thank you for that. We know you have a place in our Father's mansion worlds and we look forward to seeing you there.
