Winton Clement White was born to Alfonzo Giles White and Sarah Vail Clement in Duchesne, UT on February 26th, 1938. He was the fifth of eight children and came in between his four older sisters and three younger brothers. He served an LDS mission in Uruguay for 2.5 years and also served in the National Guard. He married the love of his life Kathleen Van Leuven in 1962 and they had five children. He served in the Air Force as a civilian employee at Hill Air Force Base for 43 years before retiring in 2008. He had a heart of service and kindness and would help anyone when asked. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones, singing, music, the outdoors, cooking, canning and dipping chocolates around the holidays. He was the consummate do-it-yourselfer, able to fix or build anything around the house or on the car.

He is survived by his sister Jessie, brother Clay, wife Kathleen, children Kendal (Amanda), Travis (Julie), Valerie, and Tyler (Audrey), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alleen, Mary, and Dixie, brothers Reeves and Gordon, and daughter Michelle.

Funeral services on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022 at 10:00am at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 S. 600 E., Kaysville, UT 84037. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery.

I always enjoyed seeing Winton come in to the rehearsals for the Davis Master Chorale. He always exuded a quiet, pleasant spirit. I and the Chorale will miss having him in the group. He's likely in a much better choir by now.
