“Wally”

Our handsome, kind, and cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on December 8, 2021 with his family by his side after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Wally was born on May 14, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul and Lenora Eggertz. He was one of six children. He married the love of his life, SuzAnne Greene on August 14, 1969 in Copperton, Utah. Together they had three children- David, Danny and Lisa.

Wally was loved by all he associated with in his many years in the grocery business.

Wally enjoyed spending time with family, camping, golfing, and “puttering in the yard.” He was a dedicated, loving and kind man. He was a great example to all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, SuzAnne of 52 years, children: David, Danny (Kristen), and Lisa (Collyn), Grandchildren Brennan, Morgan, Ayden McCleary and Hayden and Dallin Eggertz. His siblings: Ray (Carlene), Dick, Betty (Doug), and Glen (Holly). He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Scott, and his sister-in-law Louise.

We would like to thank Jewish Family Services, Neighborhood House, Bee Hive Homes of Herriman and Canyon Homecare and Hospice for their love, support and care.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Wally was a great man. We enjoyed our get togethers and our camping trips. I have known him since I was little. Always enjoyed talking with him and watching him play horseshoes. We will miss you. But glad your at peace.
