William Bewick Collings, Jr (Tucker), Age 83, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022 in his home in Cottonwood Heights, surrounded by his wife and seven children. He was born on September 28, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Bewick Collings and Freda Howard Collings. Tucker grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and played football at Idaho Falls High School. After graduating High School, he attended Brigham Young University where he played the trombone in the BYU marching band, and was President of the Val Hyric social unit. Tucker graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. It was at BYU where he met his sweetheart Leigh Ann Petersen. He was sealed to her on August 29, 1962 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple.
He loved cars and airplanes and had his pilot’s license. He loved to fly and travel in his Cessna airplane. He was also a master woodworker and skilled carpenter. He loved dogs and he had many throughout his life. He cherished spending time with his family at his cabin property in Island Park, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife Leigh Ann and seven children Jeff (Desiree) Collings, Lori (Bruce) Jensen, Mike (Kathy) Collings, Jennifer (Steve) Haws, Dan (Cindy) Collings, David (Bianca) Collings, Jamie (Levi) Lorenc. He had twenty-seven grand-children and seven great grand-children who adored him. He is preceded in death by his Parents William Bewick Collings and Freda Howard Collings and a still born daughter Kristi.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cottonwood 8th Ward 6301 South 2300 East, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. A viewing will begin two hours prior beginning at 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery 3115 Bengal Blvd. (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.

Tucker and I were fast friends through high school, college, and throughout our lives. Tucker and his family gave me the confidence and desire to excel and achieve. I loved him and will never forget him!
