William "Bill" George Atkinson Jr.

William “Bill” George Atkinson, Jr., 74, passed peacefully at home in North Salt Lake City, UT in the evening of May 4th , 2021.
Bill was born August 14, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT to William G. “Bill” Atkinson and Helen Louise Mosher Atkinson. Bill proudly served our country in the Marines.
Bill married Sharlene Lorraine Carlson on December 8, 1966 in Salt Lake City, UT. Together, they had 2 children, Tracy Lynn Atkinson and Mark E. Atkinson.
Bill is survived by his children, Tracy (Michael) Hopson and Mark E. Atkinson; his sisters, Karen Dickerman and Denice Cardon; his brothers, Scott and Kevin Atkinson; his grandchildren: Andrew W. (Heather) LaBaume, Zachary (Saige) S. LaBaume, Mark E. Atkinson Jr., Emma M. Atkinson, Aidan K. Atkinson, Lauren (Matthew) Schnurstein, and Spencer Hopson, his great-grandchildren: Claire Schnurstein, Brody LaBaume, Rhilynn LaBaume, and Camille LaBaume and many other family and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents (William “Bill” G Atkinson and Helen Louise Atkinson) and his loving wife (Sharlene Lorraine Carlson Atkinson).
