William “Wild Bill” Lavern Allsop.
Bill Allsop was born May 28, 1927, in Tooele, Utah. The son of Vern and Myrtle Allsop, and husband to Joyce McArthur Allsop, he passed Friday July 1st, 2022, at the age of 95 from complications related to COVID-19. He is preceded by siblings: Donna Chriss, Betty Berry, grandson Michael Meyer, and a great grandchild.
Bill is a Tooele High School graduate of 1944 and attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He was volun-"told" (thanks Judge) for the U.S. Navy and attended Basic Training in San Diego, CA graduating the 31st of April 1945. He became a Hospital Corpsman and served with the Marines in the Pacific Theatre – most notably remembering his time in Hawaii.
Post World War II he worked with his mother expanding most of Tooele via Allsop Reality. During the 1950’s he was called back to service with the US Navy and served during the Korean War.
Post Naval Service, Bill met his beautiful wife Joyce, and they were married New Year’s Eve – December 31st, 1952. He worked as a civilian for the US Air Force at Hill Air Force Base, Utah for 20 years, then he moved back home to
Tooele where he re-established Allsop Reality until his retirement in 1997. He was active in the Fraternal Order of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, and the VFW.
Bill was the kindest gentleman around. His heart was always with his family and was consistently working to ensure that they felt welcomed, understood, and at home. He was one to ensure that WHATEVER!
we all thought of the “little guy” and always had a 5-dollar bill for the grandkids to “get a burger”. He loved Tooele and its people and considered them all family.
He is survived by his family; wife of 65 years Joyce Allsop, daughter Sandra Allsop Meyer, son Scott Allsop (Betty Jo); cousin Linda, nephew Mike Chriss; grandchildren Jennifer Sorensen Miller (Patrick), William Meyer, Christopher Allsop, Tommy Archuletta and Petrita Archuletta, Mindy Graham (Shane), Andy Adams, and Brandon Adams. He has 13 great-grandchildren: Erynn, William, Zoë, Stormy, Mariah, Dylan, Juliet, Skyler, Jordyn, Xander, Kenzley, Rhiley, Avaya.
Also a special thanks to Maddi with Harmony Home Health Care as well as Scott and Betty Allsop for their loving care. The Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Bill's final word for everything: "WHATEVER!"

Grandpa I love you and will always miss you. I know the party just began with grandma walking in the heaven gates right behind you. RIP and it's a blessing to be named after such a wonderful man.
Uncle Bill you were the kindest and most Loving person , always remembered our trips to Bountiful and Tooele with mom and dad to visit with you. Aunt Joyce , Sandy and Scott , thoughts and prayers 🙏 ❤️ to them and you R.I.P. , Love you Always ❤️
And I will always remember you Uncle Bill being so laid back , and your favorite saying "Whatever " , Love you Always R.I.P.❤️😇🥲
So so sorry for your loss. I'm glad I got to spend time with him and Joyce while I helped with cleaning their house after being asked by Betty and Scott until they could move in and help. He had a great sense of humor and his favorite answer was always "Whatever"
