Warren “Lonnie” Leon Carlson Sr., age 84, died on December 17, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Aaron and Dora Carlson. He married Sherrie Phillips on July 16. 1969.
He proudly served in the Marines and was in the Korean War. He loved playing music, camping, fishing, ATV riding, and most of all, playing with his grandkids.
Lonnie is survived by his children Debbie (Dave) Shorten, Sharmaine Leavitt, Shauna (Ed) Jensen, Kyle (Alisa) Carlson; 21 grandkids, and 42 great grandkids; 1 brother and 5 sisters.
He is preceded in death by wife Sherrie, parents Aaron and Dora, sons Jim, Randy, and Leon; and sister Liz.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. A family viewing will be held 11:00 - 12:00 PM at Affordable Funerals and Cremations, 4387 South 500 West, Murray, UT, 84123.
In compliance with Governor Herbert’s mandate on facial coverings, face masks are required at all services. Social distancing will be enforced.

I remember his face. He was at Melvin Blake's house one day. I had the pleasure of hearing him sing to Mel and Norma. What a sweet spirit along with his smile. R.I.P
