He was born September 14, 1957 in Bambamarca, Peru to Isabel Aguilar and Britaldo Zamora.

After his mother’s death in 1969, Victor came to the United States under the care of Paul and Joan Erekson, who had previously been in Peru for employment and were then living in Muscatine, Iowa.

Victor graduated from Muscatine High School in 1976 and then moved to Utah, joining his sister, Sofia.

In Utah, after briefly attending the University of Utah, Victor began a 40 plus year career in banking, working for First Security Bank. When First Security became Wells Fargo Bank, Victor continued with Wells Fargo until his death.

Victor was actively involved in his life love of soccer, playing with a college team while still in high school in Muscatine, and on through an adult league in Salt Lake City, until a back injury sidelined him a few years ago. He was able to continue to enjoy that love through his oldest grandson, Kaydon, whom Victor mentored growing up, and went on to college with a soccer scholarship.

Victor was also an avid fly fisherman, standing in mountain streams as long as he was able, and encouraging all his friends to join him. He also enjoyed collecting and displaying whatever touched his fancy: model cars, sailboats, etc. His dogs were his constant companions, from childhood in Peru, up through his beloved bulldogs, Zeus and Odin.

Victor married Debbie Griffin in Salt Lake City in 1976, and Tamara and Kristopher were born to them shortly after. Etson joined the family in 1989. Over the years, Victor married several times, most recently to Dina Yessica Mantilla Quilca , in February 2023.

Victor was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents.

Victor is survived by, and dearly missed by his wife, Yessica, and her son, Paolo; his three children: Tamara, Kristopher, and Etson; his five grandchildren: Kaydon Zamora-Reeves, Dezzie

Zamora-Reeves, Avina Zamora, Jonah Zamora, and Leah Zamora; and his four sisters: Amalia Medina of Trujillo, Peru, Hortencia Medina of Trujillo, Peru, Gloria Rohr of Gilbert, Arizona, and Sofia Bower of Herriman, Utah.
