Victor "Vic" R. Bills

May 9, 1945 Jul 31, 2022

Victor R. “Vic” Bills, 77, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on July 31, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born on May 9, 1945, in Logan, Utah to Amy Francis Robinson and Farrell Grant Bills, and graduated from Murray High School in 1963. Vic served in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam (1969-1970), and worked as a financial advisor for Highland Financial Group prior to retiring in 2017. Vic enjoyed golf, tennis, the beautiful Utah outdoors, and following the Utah Jazz. He loved cookies and ice cream (vanilla bean was his favorite), holiday celebrations, and any other opportunity to spend time with his family. Vic also loved a good project and enjoyed keeping his yard and home beautiful for the family to enjoy. Vic was a gentle soul. He always had a smile and welcoming words for those he met. Even as he battled dementia, his kindness remained, and he was well-loved by those that cared for him.

Vic is survived by his wife, Barbara, his brother Kelly (Annie) Bills, his sister Jackie (Herb) Trujillo, his children Ken (Wendy) and Bob (Malinda) Bills, Trice (Russ) Batty, and Alexandra (Martin) Reid; his grandchildren Elric (Cathy), Kendall (Brian), Olivia, Josephine, Banning, Cooper, Tiana, Victoria, Benjamin, Jerry Elise, Molly, and Finn; and his great-grandchildren Ellie and Juliana. Preceded in death by his brother William Bills and his sister Carolyn Acord.

A special thank you to the staff of the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home for the care of Vic over the past three years.
