Vicki Lynn Wolfenbarger Mendisabal passed away on July 4, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 69. She was born on June 8, 1952 in Pocatello, Idaho to Floyd Eugene and Afton Sylvia Wolfenbarger. She married Rick Mendisabal on April 10, 1971.
Vicki had fierce love and loyalty to her family. She loved being a mom and a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her legacy, pride and joy. She loved sewing, and was very good at it. She made our house a home, and brought joy and light everywhere she went.
She was an amazing cook, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and crafting. She loved animals, especially dogs. She was kind and loving.
She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities and loved to help where she was needed. She was truly the BEST!
Vicki is survived by her spouse, Rick Mendisabal, sons Josh, Jared (Evette), and daughters Heather (Ryan), and Hillari (Rody). She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Emma, Brynlee, Lucca, Maxxum, Lilly, Shafer, and Quinn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Afton Wolfenbarger, brothers Mike and David, and her sister Evva.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with a viewing beginning one hour prior at The Jordan North 2rd Ward 4270 South Falcon Drive, West Valley City, Utah 84120. An evening viewing will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the same location. Interment will follow the funeral at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
