Verna JoAnn Knight Moser

Sep 17, 1931 Aug 13, 2021

Verna JoAnn Knight Moser, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday evening August 13, 2021. She was the youngest of 12 children born to Nathan Kinsman Knight and Lucy Stokes Knight. JoAnn was born in Siguard Utah on August 17th 1931. She was an active member of the LDS church. The family later moved to Salt Lake City and this is where she met the love of her life, William Ronald Moser. Both JoAnn and Bill were 17 years of age when they decided to marry on August 6th 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mom loved to grow and preen flowers in the yard, camping was one of her favorite activities, and when home, she was an avid book reader preferring a good written story over a television version every time. Some weekend nights Mom and Dad would “step-out” and go dancing downtown. One of Moms’ favorite activities was to go fishing at Strawberry; Dad would bait the hook, throw it out into the lake, and then Mom would take over and “hook-em” and reel them in by herself.

After 62 years of marriage, Bill passed away. They have 4 children: Lyndia (Jim) Howland-Grey, Gary (Margie) Moser, Thomas (Julie) Moser, Michael (Thom) Masat-Moser.

JoAnn was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. She loved her family and loved spending time with all family members and extended family. She is loved and missed by all.
