Ursula Jutta Neumann McKell

Jun 9, 1940 Mar 28, 2021

Born June 9th, 1940 to Ilse Martha Teweliet and Werner Neumann in Schweidnitz, Germany. She and her family suffered great hardships during the Second World war. Their father was separated from them in Czechoslovakia on the 8th of May,1945 when the war ended. They never saw him again. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was the glue that kept their family together. Seeking a better life for themselves, the three girls in the family, Brigitte, Christa, and Ursula left their war-torn homeland and came to the United States in 1963. Their two brothers, Wolfgang and Horst, and elder sister, Inge along with their mom stayed in Germany. The three girls went first to New Jersey and after a few years came to the Salt Lake Valley. Ursula met and married Glen McKell in 1972. They later divorced. Ursula learned to do without while in Germany. When she came to the United States, she was dedicated to giving all she had, as a single mom, to her children. They were the light of her life. She endured a great deal from some very difficult circumstances in her family. She truly was a Saintly woman. She overcame a lot of challenges. She was a breast cancer survivor. In 1999, her two sisters, Brigitte and Christa, came to live with her to lighten her load. They were a great source of comfort to each other. She found great joy in her garden and feeding the birds that always frequented her beautiful yard and garden. She was a great mother and a wonderful sister. The last few months of her life were filled with her kids and her sister taking care of her. It was well worth the effort she made to be with them those last few months. She passed away peacefully in her home. We would like to thank the nurses and all the amazing team from Active Hospice for their loving care of their mom.

She is survived by her sister, Christa Neumann in Salt Lake City and her two brothers Wolfgang and Horst Neumann in Germany. Her children; Kenneth, Quintin (Stefanie), David (Vanessa), Kimberly (Aaron) and grandchildren; Lincoln, Kayse, Noah, Aja, Lucian, Damian, Hayden, and Xander. She was very influential in the lives of two stepchildren, Leroy and Jennifer.
