Our fun and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Uelese Nifo Young Yen, passed away November 2, 2020 at the age of 65. Born in Fagamalo, Samoa on March 3, 1955 to Sione Nifo and Faaloloi Tuimauga. He married his sweetheart Logovii Filipo on April 15,1978. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Uelese dedicated many years serving in various positions including counselor to the Branch President for the Iosepa branch in Tooele, Utah at the time of his death.

Uelese worked over 30 years as a truck driver, making deliveries in various parts of California and Utah. He was a loving, dedicated husband and an extraordinary father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly but we’re comforted in knowing of the tender and glorious reunion with his parents and many siblings.

Survived by his sweetheart Logovii, children Sione (Virginia) Young Yen, Uela (Vaioleti) Young Yen, Christina Young Yen, Krystle (Sosaia) Tomoelupe, Katrina (Leuma) Gasu, Kenneth Young Yen, and 12 grandchildren.

Please join us for graveside services Thursday, November 12, 2020 1:30 p.m. at Elysian Gardens, located at 1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek, Utah.
