Twyla Waagoner

Oct 26, 1954 Mar 1, 2026

Twyla (Winch) Waggoner was born on October 26, 1954, to Claude and Margaret Winch, and left this world on March 1, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with COPD.

Twyla’s life was defined by a strength. She carried herself with determination, meeting hardship with resilience and a stubborn kind of hope. Those who knew her saw a woman who kept going—no matter what life placed in her path.

Twyla first married Allen Martinez, and together they welcomed two daughters, Melinda Sanchez (John) and Shelly Myers (John). Later, she married Casey Pack, and their lives were blessed with a son, Eric Pack (Lora). Though life took each marriage in different directions, her love for her children never wavered.

She worked many jobs over the years, each one a reflection of her independence and her willingness to do whatever was needed for her family. Twyla had a gift for crafting—creating things with her hands that carried pieces of her heart. Whether she was sewing, making gifts, or simply tinkering with something new, she poured love into every detail.

Twyla is survived by her brother Gene, her children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, each of whom carries her spirit forward in their own way. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cindy, and nine heavenly grandbabies who went before her—loved, remembered, and held close in her heart.

Twyla’s life touched many. Her presence—steady, complicated, and real—shaped the people around her in lasting ways. Those who knew her will carry her memory not just in stories, but in the quiet moments when her strength, her creativity, or her love shows up in their own lives.

A private service will be held for the family.
