Born in Delta, Utah to Joseph Allen Talbert and Rita Myrtle Nelms. Tony spent his childhood hunting jackrabbits, riding horses, training hunting dogs and trapping with his father. He spent his teenage years in Salt Lake City with his mother and siblings; Kenneth Donald Talbert (deceased), Ramona Jane Talbert Anderson Fournea (deceased), Edward Allen Talbert of Nevada, Arthur Lamar Talbert of Colorado, Joseph Henry Talbert (deceased), Laura Marie Talbert (deceased), Ireta Marie Talbert (deceased), Lonny Bob Talbert (Dottie) of Utah. Tony and his siblings loved to fight, he enjoyed judo and boxing in Jr. High. He joined the Marines in 1969 and served in Vietnam until his discharge in 1973. He married Sherre Rose, and was stepfather to Jeffrey Rose, they had four kids of their own and then divorced. He married the love of his life Sherry Mills Talbert in 1983 and with her four kids, several grandkids and great grandkids lived a full life in Kearns. He was a professional truck driver, driving long haul with his brother Ken, a Heavy-Duty Wrecker driver, cement mixer driver for several companies including Geneva Rock where he retired in 2014. He was Union Steward for Teamsters Local 222 were he fought for a 60-hour work week.

Tony enjoyed dancing, especially swing, at the Westerner where he met his wife, Sherry. He continued to enjoy hunting and riding his horse Sheto. As well as finding new hobbies such as riding ATV’s and leisurely camping. He was a backyard mechanic and made sure he taught his kids how to care for and maintain their own vehicles. It was only in recent years that a dog wasn’t permanently living in the house, but he still enjoyed visits from his kids' dogs. In his later years he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandkids. He was involved in the neighborhood and knew everyone on the street. Many people loved him dearly, and he will be missed greatly; but the time spent with him will always be remembered and appreciated by his family even more so. May he rest now knowing that his family can carry on without him and eventually meet up together once more…
