Todd Bailey Hansen, a lover of family time, scripture study, bike rides, finished garage floors, and slightly stale Easter peeps, peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, following a brief and intense experience with leukemia.
Todd was born in Cedar City, Utah, September 24, 1955, to Bob and Ann Hansen, and he loved every street in that town. He went to Southern Utah State College, served a mission to Honolulu Hawaii, then married a beautiful girl from Econ 101. Sharon was the light of his life. They have been married for 44 years and have four children.
Todd’s career was in pharmaceuticals, following which he dedicated 13 years to service in The Church of Jesus Christ. He treasured his time serving in the Texas Houston mission, Southwest Area, and the Draper Temple.
He is survived, treasured, and dearly missed by his wife Sharon; children Heather (Eric) Wing, Rob (Kerri), Brian (Lisa) and Jessica (Gage) Herbst; siblings Heidi (David) Rindlisbacher, Kelly (Francie), Drew (Penny), and Barry (Joni); 13 grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann.

To a rare and true Friend, Todd Hansen,
I just learned this past week of Todd's passing. I served with him in Hawaii and greeted his arrival in the islands in 1974, was with him at a Mission Conference just before Christmas in Laie and then again in Hilo with Jerry Probst early in 1975. A good man and I was so shocked with his passing. Was grateful for reconnecting at the passing of President & Sister Crandall and have stayed in touch since and wanted to make sure he was aware we are having a old Hawaii Mission gathering this week. Know of my Love and may memories soften the loss of a great missionary, husband, Father and friend.

To a rare and true Friend, Todd Hansen,
The sting of your passing far exceeds the sting experienced from the welts left on my back from your racquetballs that occasionally went astray. How I treasure, the early morning competitions and friendship we shared in Woodinville, Washington.
You and Sharon will never know the comfort that came later in life when you visited us after the passing of our daughter Heidi. At a time in our lives when we felt defeated you gave us the hope of a brighter tomorrow through your example of faith and example of the Savior’s Love. We are sure your innate love for others and your firmness of character has been felt by many.
“Follow me” were the first and last words Jesus spoke to his Disciple Peter. Like Peter of old, you throughout your life have followed the Savior's command. Once again, the call has come to you, “Follow Me” and you unselfishly responded. We will be forever grateful for the love, friendship and influence you and Sharon have been in our lives!
With much love,
Terry and Shellie Miller
Brother and Sister Hansen are some of the most kind and loving people we know. We worked with them at Draper Temple Baptistry. The loving care of people, from temple workers to patrons always came first with him. To perpetuate Todd’s kindness, love, and compassion for others a donation to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints HUMANITARIAN SERVICES has been made in his honor.
Brother Hansen, we will miss you, and look forward to a happy reunion in Heaven.
Love, Rebecca and Creighton West
