Thomas Lunt Belliston, 86, passed away on April 26, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah.
Tom was born August 1, 1938, in Nephi, Utah, to Thomas E. and Beth Lunt Belliston.
He was raised on the Avenues in Salt Lake City, where he made many lifelong friends — some of whom still gather regularly for lunch. Tom attended Wasatch Elementary, Bryant Jr. High, and East High School. His first job was delivering newspapers, collecting $1.30 each month from customers. Later, he worked for Kennecott Copper for many years.
Tom eventually moved to Los Angeles, where he worked for two law firms. Always generous, he often opened his apartment to friends and family, showing them around the city and its many points of interest.
Tom served faithfully as a missionary in the Northern California Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joined the Army Reserve serving in the JAG Corps for 22 years where he made many more cherished friendships.
Blessed with good health for much of his life, Tom enjoyed traveling and took many memorable trips and cruises. He truly lived a good and full life.
Tom is survived by his sisters, Colleen (Wayne) Lym, Ann (I. Wayne) Sundberg, and Carolyn (Larry) Hancock; his brother, Douglas (Michelle) Belliston; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all those who cared for and assisted Tom in his final years — your kindness is sincerely appreciated.
