Thelma Elaine Ehlers Black, age 89, passed quickly away January 25, 2022, at the home her father built in Salt Lake City, Utah of natural causes. Born May 30, 1932, in Salt Lake City, she shared that birthday with her husband, Durant Cox Black, born exactly 4 years earlier. She was no doubt met on the other side by her husband, her parents (Arnold H. Ehlers and Thelma C. Erickson), two brothers, Terry, and Jack, and three grandchildren who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her sister Narda Woodford, 7 children - Joel (Cheryl), Karen (Steve), Janae (Glenn), Jed (Gayle), Kort (Chris), Kristen (Jason), and Lars (Sanjana), 40 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. Interment is at Wasatch Lawn. She loved musicals, babies, flowers, her family, and family traditions.
