Terry Gay McEntire

Terry Gay McEntire, 62, unexpectadly passed away on November 15th, 2021 due to a stroke. She was born on February 9th, 1959 in Heber, Utah to Sylvanus and Enid Johnson. She was the fourth of five children. She graduated from Orem Highschool class of 1977.

She married the love of her life, Robert Drew McEntire on December 29th, 1981 in Provo, Utah. Together they lovingly devoted their life to raising three boys. Terry found joy in her business “Follow Your Heart” spending countless hours creating handcrafted wood items. She often traveled to craft shows selling her work. It soon became an activity the entire family enjoyed.  Bob and Terry along with the boys built a beautiful home in Draper, Utah. The work put into the house led to instilling characteristics the boys would use throughout life. You could often find her enjoying the garden where she always had beautiful flowers surrounding the yard. Amongst the flowers were her many hummingbird feeders that she made sure to fill every day. She loved watching musicals and plays with her husband, often visiting Hale Centre Theatre and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and looked forward to seeing them grow and flourish. She really embraced the title of Grandma.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father and sister MaryAnne.

She is survived by her husband (Bob), three sisters Carol, Lori and Joy, three sons: Ryan (Lynsie), Jonathan, Kyle (Kaysha) and their 7 grandchildren.

A viewing will be held in her honor on Thursday the 18th of November, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the South Mountain Stake Center, 1911 East Grey Fox Dr, Draper, UT 84020 (next to the Draper Temple). Funeral services will follow.
