Terrance Michael Gutierrez, born to Evila and Tim Gutierrez August 17, 1950 at St Mark’s Hospital their fourth child. At that time they did not know that Terry was born with hypothyroidism. He was a very sick child as he grew older he could no longer hold up his head, make sounds, or walk. He was not expected to live past the age of 14. Dad had to carry Terry everywhere they went.
My mother’s brother, uncle Mooses worked at the shop and made Terry a tall walker out of Galvanized pipes, so we would tie Terry in and train him to walk. At this time Terry could have been six or seven years old. My mother and dad cared for Terry for 48 years. Dad passed away first then my mother in 1992.
Since then Terry has been in an assisted living group home with Key Residential. We want to thank his caretakers for all their hard work and care. Dawn Woodson, Steve Gunther, James Stewart, Bernadette Salt, and many others.
He is survived by his brothers Tim Willis Gutierrez, Tony Gutierrez, sister Zella P. Waddups, and many Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tim Gutierrez and Evila Lucero Gutierrez.
