Suzanne was born December 12, 1945, in Salt Lake City, to Frederick Kenneth and Wilda Maxwell Stoffers. She was born 10 years after her one and only sibling, Marilyn. Suzanne was raised in Midvale where she attended Jordan High School and then attended and graduated from the newly built Hillcrest High School.

Suzanne married Owen H. Gatherum on May 14, 1965. Owen and Suzanne made their home in Sandy, where they raised their family. Suzanne's pride and joy were her four children -- Angie, Daren, Ryan, and Ashlee. She devoted her life to her children and supported Owen as he began and built his lawn mowing business.

Suzanne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in the presidencies of both Relief Society and Primary. She worked for many years at Highland Cove Retirement Community as a receptionist. She enjoyed working and serving there and made many friends with the residents and co-workers.

Suzanne loved her family reunions at Greys River in Wyoming, close to where the Stoffers family homesteaded. Some of her favorite past times were watching movies, eating chocolate, traveling, and attending all events for her grandkids.

She had a soft heart and sympathetic ear. She loved to laugh and loved everyone to laugh with her. She was kind, sweet, soft spoken, and very protective of her children and grandchildren. We will truly miss her.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Kenneth and Wilda Stoffers, as well as her sister, Marilyn Maass. She is survived by her husband, Owen, her 4 children, Angie (Curt) Chapman, Daren (SuzyJo) Gatherum, Ryan (Lacey) Gatherum, and Ashlee Gatherum. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Abbie (Kelton), Niko, Emma, Lexie (John), Ben, Mia, Ella, Jack, Tommy, Kyson, Hannah, and Charlotte, and 2 great-grandsons, Johnnie and Lucas, and her 3rd great-grandson on the way.
