She was born on April 23rd, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Merle Taylor and Vivian Nadine Folsom Taylor. Susan was the oldest of three - her, her sister Laurie, and her brother Keith - the three only official members of “The Sneaky Club.”

Susan married Steven Brent Wilcox in the Salt Lake Temple on September 4th, 1968. Susan graduated from Olympus High School, and later graduated valedictorian at Salt Lake Community College with a degree in electronics. She had excellent people skills and worked in several administrative positions throughout her career. She spent the last part of her life visiting with, spoiling, and enjoying her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Susan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a very strong love of the Savior and the power of the priesthood. She regularly put people's names on the temple prayer roll. She held many callings and after she retired donated much of her time to indexing and had many spiritual experiences.

Susan loved with her whole heart and without condition. She had a way of making every person she met feel special and important. As a single mother, she devoted her life to her children. She always taught them to look for the positive in every situation. She was very brave, strong, resilient, and patient, and a fierce protector of those she loved. She was very witty, and funny with an amazing sense of humor.

Susan was an artist, a baker, a singer, a comedian, and a beautician. She was an expert crocheter and knitter. She was a master of words and always knew the right thing to say. She was a lover of energy medicine, gentle herbal remedies, positive affirmations, breathing techniques, and the power of crystals.

Susan is survived by her sister Laurie Williams (Scott), her brother Keith Folsom Taylor, her children Heidi Carpenter, Nathan Wilcox (Kristine), Greg Wilcox (Andrea), Edith Mevec, Amber Shakya (Sulav), 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
