Susan Sears Dyer was born on August 20, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Edward Sears and Melba Lillie Stahle. On April 16, 1976 she married Daniel Lee Dyer. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 13, 1988.
Susan loved spending time with her family and loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from the University of Utah with an interior design degree, and she enjoyed doing all sorts of crafting.
She loved nature and enjoyed going on scenic drives and visiting national parks with her family. She had a deep love of animals and loved her pets as family. She was known for her amazing caramels, sugar cookies, and fudge that she loved to share with her family and friends.
Susan is survived by her husband Daniel Lee Dyer, her brother Dennis (Eileen) Sears, her children: Michael (Leah) Dyer, Steven Dyer, Ashley (Jared) Reid, Amberly (Tanner) Hallows, her grandkids: Adyson, Brooklyn, Kayden, Cason, Tyson, Carmen, Lillian, and Autumn.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Edward and Melba Lillie Sears.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Maple Way Ward located at 380 South Fairfield Road in Layton, Utah 84041. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard, in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Another viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to services at the church. Graveside services will follow at approximately 1:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
