Steven Dennies passed away on October 28, 2021 in Springville, Utah. He was born on March 22, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gerald Ray Dennies Jr and Mary Ellen Vatsend.
Steve loved cats and dogs. He loved the duck pond and the zoo. He loved to clean. He also loved the car wash and haunted houses. He really loved to ride the bus. He worked as a laundry worker for 22 years and loved every minute of it.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Cheney, his siblings Gerald Ray Dennies Jr, Laurie Jean Mounteer (Les), and Tamara Sue Sarzalejo (William), his nephews Cody Dennies, Les Mounteer Jr, Christopher Mounteer, Thomas Mounteer, and nieces Angela Dennies, Brooke Lyn Dennies, Sabrina Jean Barcalow, and Emily Suzanne Sarzalejo.
He is preceded in death by his father Gerald Ray Dennies Sr, his grandparents Soren Olsen and Ester Elin Vatsend, and James William and Kathryn Lucyme Dennies.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM with a viewing one-hour prior beginning at 9:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Masks are required by all who attend.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lydia Barnard who went above and beyond as Steve’s friend and guardian angel.
