Sherry Lynn Wilson

September 06, 1963 - June 9, 2021

Sherry Lynn Wilson, age 57, of West Jordan, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer, was called Home by her Heavenly Father on June 9, 2021. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly, bringing her slurpees on demand. Sherry was born to Rudy and Sharon Ficklin on September 06, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Granger High School where she made deep rooted lifelong friendships.

She married Bryan Wilson on September 25th, 1992. They shared many amazing adventures together. Although they separated later on in life they were fortunate to be blessed with two beautiful children, Shawnee and Zach.

She was a hard worker and loyal to her commitments. Lots of her peers turned to Sherry for advice and friendship. She was a Mother to all. Always making sure everyone was taken care of. Her love knew no bounds. To know Sherry is to love her. She had a magnetic personality and everyone who met her felt like they had known her for years. She was the life of the party. She was a sun goddess and loved to spend time at the lake or sun-bathing in the backyard. She was so passionate about her kids and grandchildren. Being “MA” to her grandkids meant the world to her. They brought her so much happiness. She loved the time she spent with her Mom. They shared many Tuesdays together at the movie theater. One of her favorite pass times was music and concerts. She loved our annual Bear lake trips. EPIC!

She is survived by her children, Shawnee Wilson (Danny), Zach Wilson (Kiesha); her grandchildren, Dominick, Kayson, Lincoln, Wyatt; her siblings, David and Todd Ficklin; and her mother and best friend Sharon Ficklin. As well as many nieces and nephews and of course her “sister wife” Cindy Soper. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Rudy Ficklin and Nephew Josh Ficklin.

Sherry was our angel on earth and now our guardian angel in Heaven. God be with you until we meet again.

Services will be held Saturday, June 26th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by the dedication of the grave at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, Utah. A luncheon will be held at Fairfield by Marriott Hotel 7141 South FLSmidth Drive, Midvale UT 84047 from 2:00-4:00 PM.
