Sherry Lynn Wilson
September 06, 1963 - June 9, 2021
Sherry Lynn Wilson, age 57, of West Jordan, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer, was called Home by her Heavenly Father on June 9, 2021. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly, bringing her slurpees on demand. Sherry was born to Rudy and Sharon Ficklin on September 06, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Granger High School where she made deep rooted lifelong friendships.
She married Bryan Wilson on September 25th, 1992. They shared many amazing adventures together. Although they separated later on in life they were fortunate to be blessed with two beautiful children, Shawnee and Zach.
She was a hard worker and loyal to her commitments. Lots of her peers turned to Sherry for advice and friendship. She was a Mother to all. Always making sure everyone was taken care of. Her love knew no bounds. To know Sherry is to love her. She had a magnetic personality and everyone who met her felt like they had known her for years. She was the life of the party. She was a sun goddess and loved to spend time at the lake or sun-bathing in the backyard. She was so passionate about her kids and grandchildren. Being “MA” to her grandkids meant the world to her. They brought her so much happiness. She loved the time she spent with her Mom. They shared many Tuesdays together at the movie theater. One of her favorite pass times was music and concerts. She loved our annual Bear lake trips. EPIC!
She is survived by her children, Shawnee Wilson (Danny), Zach Wilson (Kiesha); her grandchildren, Dominick, Kayson, Lincoln, Wyatt; her siblings, David and Todd Ficklin; and her mother and best friend Sharon Ficklin. As well as many nieces and nephews and of course her “sister wife” Cindy Soper. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Rudy Ficklin and Nephew Josh Ficklin.
Sherry was our angel on earth and now our guardian angel in Heaven. God be with you until we meet again.
Services will be held Saturday, June 26th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by the dedication of the grave at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, Utah. A luncheon will be held at Fairfield by Marriott Hotel 7141 South FLSmidth Drive, Midvale UT 84047 from 2:00-4:00 PM.

Life Story Info
My heart is heavy with sadness to know that my dear friend sherry has left us way too early. I feel for her children .for their loss must be so great. I pray that god helps them through this difficult time. I have so many wonderful memories of sherry starting with our girls softball team back when we were 12 and 13 years old.then through junior high and high school. To our first job we got together at Rich photo lab developing film. She would pick me up every day to go to work. Sherry was one of the best friends a girl could have. Some of my best memories of growing up was with sherry.I could always count on her. She holds a dear part of my heart. And will be missed greatly. May God bless her family during this sad time in their life. Sincerely long time friend Michelle sperry
Sherry you will be missed. Electronics will not be the same without you or Walmart. Thanks for the friendship you have shared. The wonderful talks we had.
Sherry; I know you are at peace now and out of pain. Continue on with your work and watching over your family.
Love and miss you,
Sherry you will definitely be missed. I hope now you are in a better place and be able to watch over your family. I want to let you know how much I appreciated you and the years working with you were amazing I will always remember you as a person that always stayed positive and the backbone of the departments you were running. Now is time for you to fly high and be in heaven.
My friendship with Sherrie started in high school and went several years after. We spent a lot of time together basking under the sun in her backyard with our homemade Aluminum foil trays that we made to hold under our faces to gain that perfect tan. (Yes we did!) We had a special group of girls that all hung out and shared lots of unforgettable adventures during those years. Sherrie had a giant contagious laugh that made everyone laugh “out loud” with her. It was certainly one of a kind and I can recall it vividly by just thinking of her. She had a spark for life and I am so grateful to have known her.
My deepest condolences to her entire family for the loss of this beautiful Soul. May the beautiful memories of her be nestled deeply inside your heart forever.
Rest in peace Sweet Sherrie. 🙏😇💕
Love and blessings, Brenda
I was friends with Sherry in high school and she for sure was the life of the party…and we had a lot of them! Sherry has the best laugh and the biggest heart! Us Granger girls knew how to have a good time! Concerts, keggers, camping and just living a fun, fun, fun time of our lives! I know Sherry will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends, but know that she is at peace, missing you as well and loves you all so much ❤️
Sherry, you beautiful soul. We enjoyed many good times together, back in the day. While we haven’t been connected much over the years, I have thought of you often and with such fond memories.
Rest In Peace, Sherry. I pray your memories bring comfort to all whose lives you have touched in such a meaningful and inspirational way. You certainly touched mine. 🤍 Until we meet again.
