Sheri Ann Kunzler Neeley

Apr 6, 1976 Nov 21, 2023

Sheri Ann Kunzler Neeley (age 47) of Salt Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer that quickly spread to other areas of her body. Thanks to a skilled surgeon and team of doctors at Huntsman Cancer Institute she was able to enjoy a year being cancer-free before it returned.

Sheri was born on April 6, 1976, to Wayne and Cheryl (Rasmusen) Kunzler in Logan, Utah. Sheri graduated from Box Elder High School in 1994, and attended LDS Business College for one year. She spent many years working in various office jobs.

Sheri enjoyed playing games, scrapbooking, reading, writing, swimming, and loved all things ocean. Spending time with family and friends was the highlight of her life. She was known for “spreading sunshine” by sending cards and packages to make people smile. Sheri was a joy and had a great smile.

Sheri belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling in the church was playing the piano in the Primary for seven years.

In 1998, Sheri met Scott Kennith Neeley, which she often said, “was the best thing that has ever happened to her.” They were married on September 12, 1998, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Sheri and Scott were unable to have children, but are blessed with over 25 nieces and nephews (even some greats) whom they love dearly.

Sheri was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Glen and Arlene (Foote) Kunzler of Willard, Utah, and maternal grandparents Leroy and Joan (Hansen) Rasmusen of Richfield, Utah, and father-in-law, Kennith Clark Neeley of West Valley City, Utah.

She is survived by husband, Scott Kennith Neeley of Salt Lake City & her cat, Abby. Parents, Wayne and Cheryl Kunzler of Brigham City, Utah, sister Korina (Bill) Lee of Perry, Utah, and brother Brandon (Amanda) Kunzler of Brigham City, Utah, mother-in-law Kay (Harrison) Neeley of West Valley City, Utah, and Scott’s siblings Diane (Brad) Durtchi of Humble, Texas, Cheryl (Russ) Chadwick of Draper, Utah, Kristine (David) Hesse of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Shauna (Paul) Smith of West Valley City, Utah, and Mike (Jody) Neeley of Bountiful, Utah.
