Sheila H Kirkwood returned to her heavenly father Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Kearns Utah at the age of 85.

She was born to Dean and Zona Hansen on April 2,1937. The Hansen family is among the early settlers of the area now called Orem City.

Sheila was a kind and gentle person. Her generosity is an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Her love for animals was immense. She was always with the companionship of both cats and dogs. Sheila grew up on horses that she rode all over the Utah County mountainside. She has shared her love of animals and nature with her children and grandchildren.

Sheila served in the United States Air Force at Eglin AFB as a reconnaissance technology technician, an expert on wet film cameras.

On July 10,1965 she married the love of her life Russell D Kirkwood. Together they raised a family in the Los Angeles, California area before relocating in retirement near the old homestead in Orem.

Sheila was proceeded in death by her husband Russell, her daughter Audrey, as well as both of her parents and brother Ron. She is survived by her children Donald (Peggy), Duwayne Lee (Margy), Sam, Christine (Carl), Zona (Raymond), Walter (Sharidty), Katherine. As well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sisters Julie and Bernice and many extended family.

Services will be held Friday, July 29th, 2022 at her home ward house 500 S 600 W, Orem, Utah 84058. Viewing will begin at 9:30am with funeral services at 11:00am. Immediately following we will adjourn to the Orem City Cemetery for graveside services.
