Sheila Smith Hartwell was born on October 1, 1939 in Murray, Utah to Herman Smith and Doris Burgon Smith. She passed away on September 28, 2021 in West Valley City, Utah.

She graduated from Jordan High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She retired from Associated Food Stores, and loved selling Avon for many years. She mastered the art of saving money using coupons. She was an avid bowler. She loved the color purple, butterflies, and hummingbirds. She enjoyed eating out with family and friends.

There will be a private family Celebration of Life.

Sheila is survived by her children Tami Kelsey, Guen (Ross) Hedden, and Philip (Angie) Hartwell MD, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers Noel and Don.
