Shawna Kaye Davis passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 21, 2021, at the age of 57. Shawna was born on May 23, 1963, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Kirby and Lyndsey Davis. She graduated from Murray High in 1981 and from Weber State College in 1986. She enjoyed a successful career of over 30 years in high-tech sales. Shawna was a gifted athlete and excelled at everything she did. She loved to golf and play tennis and taught tennis to young athletes. For the past several years, she could be found on any pickleball court where she won several tournaments traveling around the western U.S. She was well-known and loved in the pickleball community.

Shawna had a thirst for laughter and was never above a good practical joke played on anyone. In turn, she had no problem poking fun at herself. She had a generous heart and welcomed everyone into her home as family. She loved to entertain and looked for any reason to celebrate and create family traditions. Shawna loved her cats and was a wonderful second mom to her nieces and nephew. She was their partner in mischief.

Shawna is preceded in death by her spouse, Dorothy "Torch" Stone. She is survived by her parents; sisters Sherri (Barry) and Michelle (Gavin); her nieces Jerrin (Ryan), McCall (Brandon), Kendra (Jonathan), Lindsey (Brock), and Kylee; nephew Logan (Hillary); and countless others she considered her extended family and friends. She was such a wonderful daughter, sister, auntie, friend and partner. We are all heartbroken and will miss her very much.

Shawna...It has been a few years since we had contact, as life gets busy...you know the story. I was looking up your current location and was shocked to stumble upon your obituary 😪. I am in shock and so saddened to learn of your sudden death. May you rest in peace, my friend. There is one more angel among us. You will be missed.

We were shocked to learn of Shawna's passing. We will always remember Shawna breezing into the great room of Sherri's St George house as she smiled and led us in a chorus of "Isn't she lovely!". We can't believe she won't be around to spread her special kind of joy. We will miss her dearly and send our sincere condolences to her whole family.

Shawna was usually the quiet one around Dorothy (Torch) when we would meet. I really only started to get to know her well the last couple of years. What I do know is how much much she loved Torch and their time together. Shawna rest well and be healed from your sorrows as you two are together again.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Shawna. She was a dear friend whose company I always enjoyed. She was the consummate professional and I learned a great deal from her in working together at CenturyLink. I always appreciated her willingness to share information and help me and her fellow team members any way that she could. My thoughts and sentiments go out to Shawna's family and friends. May you be comforted at this time of tremendous loss.
