Shauna was born in Midvale and eventually moved to Kearns with her family. She was very close to her parents and her sister, Charlotte. She took after mother in her love for flowers and gardening.

She attended Cyprus High School, then transferred to Kearns High School the year it opened. She was very proud that she was the second graduate of the first graduating class at Kearns, however, she was slightly disappointed that she wasn’t the first. If only her last name started with A.

Shauna enjoyed painting and crafting. Many people have benefitted from these talents and still cherish items she made for them. She would also help friends and family decorate their homes, and select furniture and we are sure, that in her lifetime, she helped hang miles and miles of wallpaper.

She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her mini cakes at family reunions. She also loved the cultural arts. She saw as many musicals as she could and had season tickets to Hale Center Theater for as long as we can remember.

For many years she ran an in-home daycare. She cared for many children, including two of her grandchildren. She loved them as her own. Eventually, she was given the opportunity to attend Salt Lake Community College and earned an associate’s degree. This was done while running a full-time business and taking care of her own children as a single mom.

Family’s adventures often included traveling, window shopping, Lagoon, and camping. She was good at almost everything she tried and could even out fish her brother-in-law.

Shauna will be missed by many. We were truly blessed to have her in our lives.

Shauna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Brian and Becky Collins (Herriman), Chad and Michele Collins (Riverton), Mark and Amariah Collins (South Jordan), Michelle Peterson and Jeff Vincent (Herriman); Grandchildren, Tyson, Chelsea, Hayden, Whitney, Taylor, McKell, Kolby, Kailee, Jersey, and Lily; Great Grandchildren, Lydia, Andrew, Sadie; Sister, Charlotte (John) Williams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and others that she loved dearly.
