Scott Courtney Hatch was born on July 24, 1952 to Ira C & Betty Hatch.
He passed away at home in Mount Pleasant, Utah at the age of 69.
Scott was adventurous with life. He was always traveling and exploring new trails!
Dad served in the Air Force in the 1974 and was stationed in England where he was a Sargent. When he returned from the Air Force he went to college at the Utah State University in Logan where he earned his Bachelors in Science Degree. He spent over 20 years working at Thiokol/ATK in Promontory. After retirement he purchased a hotel in Spanish Fork and was there for 20 years. In 2017 Dad retired and purchased his dream home up on the mountain with land and wildlife in Mount Pleasant, Utah where he lived with his Best Friend and mother of his children Jolene Mockli. They always enjoyed watching the deer and other wildlife roaming their backyard. Jolene passed in July 2020.
Dad loved to travel. He loved to explore new trails and new places. He loved the mountains no matter the season. Hunting, fishing, trail riding, camping with his kids and grandkids at the "deer camp" & snowmobiling in the winter. He also loved southern Utah where he spent several summers soaking up the sun and boating at Lake Powell, hiking the trails, and exploring the desert. He was always out enjoying what nature had to offer! Dad instilled that love of the outdoors in his children and grandchildren.
He always looked forward to our New Years Eve Party where he always had the BEST firework show! Dad was always the one starting the Nerf gun wars and water fights with the grandkids. Dad taught us not to take life so serious, stuff is just stuff, but traveling and time with family is priceless. If you seen dad, he always had a video camera in hand capturing all the moments. He had a laugh that was so contagious.
We love you Dad, we hope that you are catching lots of fish and exploring lots of trails with Mom. :)
