Salote Feletoa Tua'one

Sep 29, 1977 Jun 3, 2021

Salote Feletoa Tua’one, daughter of Taniela and Losaline Feletoa Tua’one, born on September 29, 1977 and called back to the presence of our Heavenly Father on June 3, 2021. Her attitude of “Faith over Fear” enabled her to persevere through her many trials. She fought valiantly through stages of cancer and will always be remembered for her resilience and determination. Our loving daughter, sister, aunty, cousin, and friend will be missed but never forgotten.

Salote was the eldest girl of Ofa & Line’s eight children and an amazing aunty to 22 nieces and nephews; Salesi & Asela Tua’one (Analine, Heilala, Lupe, Daniel, Jessica, Uliafu); the late Stevie Mololo Tua’one; Mele & Sione Maile (Sofaia, Isileli, Folau ‘O Seni, Kamila); Folau ‘O Seni & Johnny Asay (Paea, Losaline, Johnny, Clyde, Olivia, Eleni); Olivia Camilla Tua’one; Bishop Viliami & Brenda Tua’one (Salesi, Salote, Afa, Andrea, Samuela, Sharon); Jessica Lillian Tua’one. As the eldest daughter, she instinctively inherited a motherly touch. Salote was a God-fearing, hard working, intelligent, thoughtful, humorous, missionary minded, fun, and loving sister to all. She always had everyone’s best interest in mind.

Salote graduated from McArthur High School, c/o ‘95, in Hollywood, Fl. Salote served an honorable, full-time mission in Panama, Panama City from 2000-2001. She served diligently in various church callings, and we know she will continue to serve on the other side of the veil.

Music carried her through her life and brought her much joy. Salote’s love for Country music influenced many to develop a love for Country too. She had a bright imagination and loved to create anything she could DYI. She was a great motivation to her siblings, countless cousins, nieces, and nephews by showing them that projects are always more fun when everyone is working. Her love for life, and those around her, will continue to be cherished and honored.

Take me away. Fly this girl as high as you can into the wild blue. Set me free, oh I pray closer to heaven above and closer to you.
