Ryan Daniel Johnson passed into his Heavenly Father’s arms on Sunday morning, December 18, 2022, following complications related to surgery. Ryan was born in Provo, Utah to Boyd and Dawna Johnson on Aug. 13, 1976, looking like an old man with a full head of white hair. He earned the nickname of Skeeter because he would rub his head on the ground when learning to crawl and looked like a skeeter bug. He graduated from Alta High School in 1995 but never actually walked for his diploma due to a lightning strike that stopped the ceremony; his family has always teased him about his “shocking” personality. Ryan was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout and served a mission for his church in Hartford, Connecticut.

Ryan took great pride in obtaining his MBA from Western Governor’s University. He used his knowledge as he worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as the Service Mission Manager in the Publishing Services Department on Temple Square. He loved working for the church with the service missionaries and he had so many special connections with those he worked with. Before working for the church, Ryan worked at the studio and broadcast services at Utah Valley University and with the motion picture studios for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Ryan’s greatest joy in life was his wife and children. Ryan and Andrea were married in 2013 and later sealed in 2015 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Their blended family has four amazing children Zachery, Jonathan, Kylie, and Joe. Ryan treasured watching his children learn and grow, he loved them with his whole soul, and was so proud of them.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife Andrea, his children Zachery, Jonathan, Kylie, and Joe, parents Boyd and Dawna, siblings Richard, Stephanie (Ryan), Aaron (Angelica), and Andrew. He also adored his many nieces and nephews and will miss teasing them and late-night soda runs.
