Ryan Craig Webb passed away on June 21, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 50. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 7, 1975, Ryan lived a life full of curiosity, compassion, and quiet strength. He left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him through his sharp intellect, thoughtful heart, and unforgettable sense of humor.
Ryan graduated from East High School in 1993, where he was a proud Leopard and a standout athlete who played both basketball and baseball. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and later completed his MBA at the University of Notre Dame. Ryan's mind was always at work-quietly observing, learning, and seeking wisdom in both the ordinary and the profound.
A die-hard Utah Utes fan, Ryan bled red and lived for game days. Whether it was football, basketball, or any chance to support his team, he followed the Utes with passion and loyalty that never faded.
As a young man, Ryan served a mission in Norway for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His time there was transformative. He developed a deep love for the people, the language, and the culture-so much so that he returned multiple times over the years, including a special trip with his mother, Patricia, that became one of their most treasured memories.
Ryan married Brandi Gard, and together they had two daughters, Kierstyn and Kaija. He loved them both deeply and was endlessly proud of them.
Ryan's life was marked not just by love and laughter, but also by quiet courage. He was a cancer survivor who faced multiple serious health challenges in recent years including open-heart surgery earlier this year-and passed away after suffering a catastrophic stroke. Through it all, he showed remarkable strength, grace, and resilience.
He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He had a gift for words, a mind made for meaningful conversations, and a mischievous streak that made family photos just a little more memorable.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Webb; his brother, Michael (Lyndsi) Webb; his sisters, Wendy (Brandon) Fleming and Jennifer (Josh) Smith; his daughters, Kierstyn and Kaija; and his wife, Brandi Gard Webb. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Webb. A man Ryan loved deeply and whose influence stayed with him throughout his life.
Ryan's life was not without hardship, but it was filled with meaning, love, and connection. He will be remembered for his wit, his faith, his loyalty, and his deeply compassionate spirit.
A celebration of Ryan's life will be held on Monday, June 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thirty Third Ward (453 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City, UT 84102).
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
All who knew and loved Ryan are welcome to attend.
