He worked at many jobs but his passion was fixing cars, and helping others along the way. Russ met his high school sweetheart, Kelly Mcdougall. They spent a lot of time together outdoors, and enjoyed the NHRA and Nascar. Rusty and Kelly’s favorite thing were their two beautiful daughters, Brianna Nicole Ballegooie and Autumn Kyley Ballegooie. Russ loved his girls, and wanted the best in life for them.

Russ will be missed by many, including his daughters, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, uncles, and cousins, and of course, his dear friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Brianna Nicole Ballegooie and Autumn Kyley Ballegooie, his brothers, David J Ballegooie, and John C Ballegooie, sister Terri (Jeff) L Anderson.

Russ was blessed with some guardian angels on Earth thanks to the Gonzales family, Robert and Bell, Special Friend Theresa, Doug, and Mity Loyd. A special thank you goes to Lynn Mcdougall for her love and tender care of Rusty’s daughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, many aunts, many aunts and uncles, and cousins.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Per Rusty’s wishes, cremation will follow at a later date. Near the end of the year, his urn will be interred at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.

My dear Rusty, rest in Peace.

Russell Ballegooie was great friends with my brother Russell Miller. I think they shared the best of times just working on cars. I know my brother was over at his house all the time either talking about cars, working on cars, or dreaming about cars! Russell was a regular at my parent's home as well.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Russell's passing.
