Rosa Albertina Umana passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021 at the age of 62 at her home in West Valley City, Utah surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 14, 1958 in Managua, Nicaragua to Medardo Perez and Elida Garcia. Rosa married Oscar Umana on January 23, 1996.

She was a school teacher in her home country, and also volunteered to teach disadvantaged children. She loved crocheting, cooking, gardening, watching documentaries, and spending time with her loving family.

Rosa is survived by her husband; Oscar Umana, her sister; Esther Arcia, her children; Maria Katyola Martinez, Oscar Steve Umana and Alexander Umana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Medardo Perez and Elida Garcia.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM with a viewing one hour prior beginning at 12:00 PM at The Crossroads Church 166 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah 84070. An evening viewing will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Interment will follow the services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.

Gracias por criar a sus hijos en los caminos de Dios.
