Rosa Delia Zuniga Guymon, Age 86. Died on November 8, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on June 21, 1935, in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico to Jose Domingo Zuniga Cosio and Maria Garcia. She married Gary LeRoy Guymon in Los Angeles, California and was later divorced. They have four children.
Rose was a devoted Catholic, was a lover of music and sang in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors; she loved the mountains, the beaches, flowers, and gardening. Rose enjoyed animals and loved her dogs. One of her proudest moments was when she gained her United States Citizenship. Rose raised her four children to be pillars of the community. She lived the last several decades in Irvine, California and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2020.
She is survived by her children: Gary LeRoy Jr. and wife Sandra of Salt Lake City, Utah; Richard Leland of Salt Lake City, Utah; Michael Kevin and wife Nichole of Foothill Ranch, California, and Marisa Elizabeth Vieira Guymon and husband Glenn of Blountville, Tennessee. Two grandchildren: Lester James and Abigail. Five Step-grandchildren: Joshua James, Jacob Vay, Carter Wright, Alyssa Marie, and Abygail Grace.
The family is planning a celebration of life on Saturday, November 27 at 2pm. Outdoors at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Rd. Taylorsville, UT 84123.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents at The Wentworth at Parklane for making the last part of Rose's life filled with companionship, fun, and musical activities.
