Robert "Bob" Edwin Milner

Aug 2, 1955 Oct 15, 2022

Beloved Son, Brother and Uncle, Robert “Bob” Edwin Milner passed away October 15, 2022. Robert was born August 2, 1955 to Newell William Milner and Laurel Leone Jones. Robert’s father passed away in 1957 and his mother married Franklin Thomas Milner who became his Dad. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1973. He joined the Navy in 1975 and served as a Seaman on the USS Midway during the time it was home-ported in Japan. He was honorably discharged due to medical issues.

Bob enjoyed working for many companies. He particularly enjoyed his time as an Ironworker for Local 27 and as a truck driver. Bob would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Bob retired as a truck driver due to disability. He enjoyed visiting his parents and taking them for rides and appointments. He especially loved his animals (TJ, Taco, RJ and Emma). He also took care of our parents dog, Trixie.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Richard (Chris) James; Amber (Chuck) Murdock; Will Milner; Karen Williams; Ron (Vivian) Milner; Lorie (Ken) Mitchell; Mic (Shelle) Milner; Sherry (Dennis) Brugman; and James (Genny) Milner, as well as nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister April Colleen Ross, his brothers Martin Milner and Rick Hillman, his brother-in-law KC Williams, nephew Brett Smart, nieces Camille Williams and Machelle Murdock, best friend, Mike Call, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

We would like to especially thank our sister, Karen Williams, for taking such loving care of Bob these past five years.

We would also like to thank the compassionate nurses (Veronica and Wuil) as well as the attending physician and the pastoral care (Dave) at Jordan Valley Medical South for taking care of our brother on his last day.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held October 27, 2022 at 2 pm at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park located at 17111 South Redwood Road in Bluffdale.
