Eagle Mountain, Utah – Our much-loved Bobby returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from injuries sustained from a fall. He died doing what he loved most; hiking in the mountains around Utah County. Bobby was born December 30, 1992 in Murray, Utah, to Rob and Marilyn (Openshaw) Healey. He was a big brother to Austin, Savannah, and Amelia.

Bobby grew up in West Jordan and Eagle Mountain, Utah. He attended Columbia Elementary, The Ranches Academy, Willowcreek Middle School, Rockwell Charter High School, and Westlake High School. He enjoyed classes where he could work with his hands, such as welding and auto mechanics. Growing up he enjoyed building with Legos and K’Nex. He was interested in airplanes and loved visiting the Museum at Hill Air Force Base. As a teenager, he was blessed with the gift of a 1988 Mustang from his Aunt Jenelle on which he enjoyed working.

Bobby began work in excavation with Rocky Mountain Enterprises right out of high school. He rode his bike to work in the beginning, as the job sites were usually in the Eagle Mountain area. He was a quick learner and would master one skill at his job before moving on to the next. He truly loved his job.

Bobby was one-of-a-kind. He was generous, quiet and shy, spoke in movie quotes, connected well with cats, and could build a Death Star out of Legos like no one else. We will miss his sense of humor, his willingness to help, and his over-the-top firework displays.

He is survived by his parents, Rob and Marilyn, his brother Austin (Shanelle), his sisters Savannah (Randall) and Amelia, grandparents Sylvia and Bob Healey, Betty and Ron Openshaw, along with his nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Steven Healey.

In accordance with the state-wide mask mandate, facial coverings are required at all services. Social distancing will be enforced. To comply with the attendance limit, you may be asked to wait before entering the building for services. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

An evening viewing will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Eagle Mountain Stake, 2977 East Saddle Rock Road, Eagle Mountain, UT, 84005. The following day a funeral will be held at 11:00 AM with a viewing one-hour prior, all at the same location. Rob and Family- so very sorry to hear your loss. I didn't know Bobby, but his pictures and life story present a beautiful young man. I wish I had a chance to meet him. Sending love and praying your family will find comfort in the shared memories.

Bobby was always a quiet, powerful individual. I was lucky enough to be a part of his life during his teen years. He would always ask me how i was doing and brought with him a smile that was contagious. He was super helpful at all times and that's because of his wonderful parents. He will be missed and I will forever be grateful for his influence in my life. Rest in peace Bobby. It was a pleasure knowing you!
