Robert "Bubba" James Hardy

Jul 4, 1958 May 17, 2021

On Monday, May 17, 2021, Robert (Bubba) James Hardy of Henderson, Nevada, our loving son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 62.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Bob Hardy, Mother, Pauline Hardy, and sister, Shirlene Hardy.

He was survived by his siblings, Laura (Rocky) Williams (Salina, Utah), Cindy (Gregory, deceased) Noyes (West Jordan, Utah) Greg (Pris) Hardy (Clinton, Utah), Doug Hardy (Las Vegas, Nevada), Blain (Gwenaley) Hardy (Ephraim, Utah), Heather (Jeremy) Durrant (Payson, Utah), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bubba was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 4, 1958. At the age of 14, our family moved to Salina, Utah. He graduated from North Sevier High School in 1976 where he excelled in wrestling and football. Bubba furthered his education in diesel mechanics. After he apprenticed under his father, Bubba relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989 to continue his career.

Bubba’s social skills propelled his career to be an outstanding diesel mechanic. He established relationships with colleagues that became lifelong friends.

Bubba was a tremendously loyal friend and brother. Others often sought him out for advice and guidance. There was never a dull moment with Bubba around; he kept the conversation going with his witty jokes and sarcastic comments.

Bubba enjoyed his work, hunting, fishing and partying with family and friends. He never had children, but when it came to his nieces and nephews, including his friends’ children, he talked to and treated them like they were his own.

We, as a family, would like to thank Mark Anderson, Gus Ryan and Jim Black, Bubba’s lifelong friends that were always there for him to the very end. We thank you!
