Robert Farrell Gordon was born April 21, 1941 in his home where there is now Sears parking lot Provo, Utah. He was 83 years, 4 days old.

Bob battled cancer for years, finally losing to brain cancer.

He was married to his wife Peg of 58 years being sealed in the Manti Temple a week after civil ceremony.

He was the father to 3 children. Wendy, Penni Orchard (Chris), and son Robert (Karen). 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Robert is survived by 4 siblings.

He served in the Alaska/Canadian mission. The summer before his mission he worked at Yellowstone National Park. After his mission he served in the Navy with honors. Also serving as chaplain over the LDS sailors. He had 3 tours of duty to Vietnam where we has exposed to agent orange. Which was the determination of his brain cancer. His last tour aboard the carrier he burned 30% of his body of third degree burns. After recovering from his burns he was discharged from the Navy and moved to Utah. Most of his adult life was spent working for the U.S. government. Retiring from Tooele Army Depot.

He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Utah Food Bank.

A graveside service will be held for Bob at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 4th located at 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. Prior to the services a visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:40 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at the same address.
