Robert Earl Foote

Oct 5, 1949 Jun 14, 2021

Robert Earl Foote passed away June 14, 2021 at his home in Roosevelt, Ut with his loving family and his two beloved fur babies by his side, Josie and Cornelius. He was born on October 5, 1949 to Clair Leslie Foote and Amanda Josephine Foote. He Married Jody Sorensen on July 2, 1979.

He was a man that loved his family and friends. There is nothing he would not do for anyone. He has been known to work on many vehicles, help others move, help in building on to homes and home repairs. Many times, family and friends would call him to troubleshoot these problems. Normally he would set time and go help or have you bring your vehicle to him and he would help them fix it.

Bob was a very hard worker. He worked for Kennecott for many years. During that time, he played softball and bowled in leagues around the valley. He was loved by all of the nieces and nephews. At family gatherings he loved to play and joke around with all of his nieces and nephews. Every child wanted to play with uncle Bob, the one that never got tired of rough housing with the kids, and talking to them. Water fights oh boy he was really good at those. Everyone was soaked. Even to the end he would joke around with his family that was near and on the phone.

Bob was also known for his cooking chocolate chip sourdough pancakes for the grandkids, regular sourdough pancakes, and sourdough rolls were favorites for many family functions including hunting and camping trips and 4 wheeling. He loved to hunt and camp, one of his favorite hobbies. He would joke that Nascar was his religion. Every Friday thru Sunday it was on in his house. His wife and daughter went on many trips to Vegas to enjoy the race life with him. He loved just going on rides with him and Jody.

He retired from Kennecott in 2002 and then worked for the city of Salt Lake as a street maintenance worker. In 2007 they decided they were going to move to the country, so they picked up and moved to Roosevelt where he got a job being a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed this until 2018 when he retired permanently. After retirement you could not keep this man down. He was still working on and teaching his family how to work on vehicles but you had to be careful. If he got mad you would have to duck as there could be flying tools or he was kicking a tire. He had been known to need to purchase more parts, some how they got broken in the process of being installed. You would go to visit and he would be out watering his flowers and trees he had planted on his 4-wheeler with his oxygen on.

Bob is survived by his Soulmate Jody Foote, Children: Sandy Foote, Laura Lobato (Joe), Danny Foote. Grandchildren: Joshua Smith, Tessi Bailey, Britney Bailey (Wayne), Carley Villalobos (August), Stone Nelsen Great Grandchildren: Liam Schlapfer, Bodi Anderson, Kyren Schlaepfer, Tennysyn Schlaepfer. Sibling: Garry Foote

Preceded in death by Parents, siblings, Leslie Foote, Wayne Foote, Bernice Pinelle, Nephew Bobbie Pinelle.

The Family would like to extend a deep thank you to Canyon Home Health and Hospice for the care and compassion that we received, with a Special thank you to Our Guardian Angels Amanda and Chris Bobs Nurses for being there to help him and us through this difficult time.
