When finished serving the Lord, he enrolled in college at BYU where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. While Robert was attending school at BYU, he met the love of his life, Carolyn Udy. They fell in love, dated and were married on May 27, 1967 in the Manti, Utah Temple. They created a beautiful family with six children. They were married 55 years and were always best friends.
Robert loved to travel with his wife and family. They went on many adventures together. He has always been a huge rockhound. He loved to travel to rock shows and go out rockhounding himself. It was always a great joy to see what he found. He also loved being outside gardening. He always had the most beautiful yard around. Above all, the thing he loved the most were his grandchildren. He lived for his grandchildren and they brought him the most joy in life. He was a best friend to all of them, and they will deeply miss him.
