I have such fond memories of Bob while we were both in Jacksonville. He and Robin became precious friends to me during that time. He was always smiling, he always had kind words to say, and he was just a lot of fun to be around. I regret that I didn't make it to Utah for a visit, but I cherish the time I did get to spend with him on this earth. I look forward to spending time with him in our eternal home.
Bob quickly became one of my favorite people when I met him. He was funny, charming, and an all around great guy. I grew to love him and Robin too! Even though I didn’t know them for a long period of time they seemed like old friends. One thing I wish would have happened is I wish I would have heard him sing. 🎶 All my love to you Robin. Please stay in touch.
We became instant friends at Hope Lodge with Bob and Robin in a time when I needed friends. The friendship we shared, the dinners, conversations, the support and love will be a part of our lives forever. We are grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who put Bob and Robin in our lives. Hugs and loves to you all! Love The Holgate’s
What a beautiful life story you wrote, Robin. I have such wonderful memories of Bob during our Emmaus years. He was a good friend to us, and even more importantly, he was an encourager and mentor to our sons. I know that he positively affected many people, and I have no doubt that he is receiving and enjoying his heavenly reward for that. You and your children are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. We are so deeply sorry for your loss. May the God of all peace and comfort be present with you now and in the days to come.
Bob and Ben were just two good ole' Southern boys-one from Florida and one from Georgia who just happened to retire to the same neighborhood in Southern Utah. Ben wishes he could've spent more time getting to know Bob. He really did enjoy the conversations they had together over the last year. I was so fortunate to get to know Bob and you through our neighborhood ACC. Bob was passionate about the community coming together and he loved planning those neighborhood functions. I don't think I will ever pass by another bounce house without thinking of Bob Carter. I am so glad Ben and I got to meet your beautiful children and see Bob the day before he passed. Our hearts go out to your family and we hope your memories bring you comfort.
