Robert K Buhecker

Salt Lake City, Utah –

Robert K Buhecker passed away at the age of 42 on Monday, May 23, 2022. He was a talented djembe drum player who leaves behind his mother, brothers, and sisters that love him more than words can express. He also leaves behind too many friends to list across Utah, Colorado, and other states.

Robby was known for his enormous heart and his listening ear. Any room he walked into was guaranteed to light up with his infectious personality. He always brought a smile and laugh to your face by leaving singing voicemails where he’d let you know “I just called to say I love you.” He was most at peace when he was in nature and was an avid camper and rock climber.

Robby struggled at times during his life with substance use, which led to a decline in his mental health and created challenging struggles with suicidal ideation. Our immense gratitude to the CORE program for all their work "I just called to say I love you." with our brother and son right up until the very end.

A public memorial service will be held for Robby at Victory Outreach Church, 2900 SW Temple in South Salt Lake, Utah on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to share stories from 3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. A short service will be held at the church from 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Valley Behavioral Health at https://valleycares.com/
