Richard J. Loveless, 79, passed away on July 4, 2022, in American Fork, UT. He was born July 8,1942 in Salt Lake City, UT. His parents were Rachel Gatterer and Glen Loveless. Richard is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two year mission to the New England states mission. He married VaLeta Sue Turner on June 3, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Richard loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved multiple sports and when he was younger participated in athletics. Later he loved BYU and watched every game and also enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. He made it a priority throughout his life to make his wife and family happy. He was their greatest cheerleader and spent many hours coaching his children's sport teams. He had a quirky sense of humor and could talk to anyone. He loved people and often would run into someone he knew while traveling.

Richard is survived by his wife VaLeta Loveless, his children Todd (Cherylee) Loveless, Rinda (Brenden) Pierce, Lisa (Mark) Melton, Russ (Jamie) Loveless, Gina (Ryan) Rappleyea, Teresa (Colby) Day, 25 grandchildren, and 6

great granddaughters.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a beloved granddaughter.

The service for Richard Loveless will be held on Friday, July 8 at 11:00 AM at American Fork East Stake Center, 825 East 500 North. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday from 9:45-10:45 AM at American Fork East Stake Center. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
