I met and became friends with Rick at work at the Salt Lake City VA. Rick was a true friend who always there for me through hard times. Rick always spoke very highly of his family and Rick and his family are in my prayers.
I was Dickie's supervisor at the VA hopsital. We knew Dickie as Rick up here. Rick was a valuable employee here and he will be sorely missed. He was always willing to help and was invaluable on our snow crew during the winter months. It was a pleasure to have known Rick.
I worked in engineering and always called Mr. Candelaria 'Rick'. I always saw him working hard in his work year round as the weather played a big part of his job in each season. I had a few conversations with Rick and I knew he had a love of God and of his family. I shared that same sentiment with him. Although I will not be able to attend his funeral, my prayers, as well as my families prayers, will be with him and his family and hope that all who know Rick, that he is not gone forever. We will be with our families again some day. God bless you always and forever. Sincerely, Dave Cloward
Just found out about Dickie Joe, I send my condolences. I'm sure Uncle Benny and Aunt Dorthy were there to welcome him back into their arms as they were there for Michael. There is never enough time with our loved ones, that seems to be very common with our Candelaria Family. My prayers for his children and grandchildren.
Prayers for all your loved ones! Rest In Peace, Rick. You'll never be forgotten.
