Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville UT 84123). The Viewing will start at 1pm, Memorial Services at 2pm, and Graveside at 3:30pm.
Rayko was born on August 13, 1929 in Kanal Ob Soci Slovenia, Yugoslavia to Ivan and Paula Paravan.
He married Bernadette Aeschbach Paravan on November 15, 1962 in Canada. He spent his younger years as a electrician then immigrated to Canada and later the United States, where he laid down roots and raised his son Raymond with his wife Bernadette. He became a certified mechanic in the US and spent years working on cars. He shared his love for cars and hard work with his son Ray. Both spent countless hours working side by side. He was the most amazing and interesting man, there isn't a person we know that can say a bad thing about him. He spent his life serving his family and close friends. He helped anyone and everyone who was in his life path. He was always a phone call away and would jump at the opportunity to serve those he loved. He was fiercely loyal and a dedicated family man. He came from humble beginnings but spent his life paying it forward to those he came across. He’d always greet you with a wink and a smile and leave you with a peck on the head and a pat on the cheek. He was so loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was our hero!
